The Doodle Boy
Biography
Joe Whale (b. 2009, United Kingdom – now based in Adelaide, Australia) is a contemporary artist
working across monochrome ink and painting. Also known as The Doodle Boy, his practice is built around a single driving ambition: the construction of entire worlds.
From densely populated black ink environments to expansive colour painting, Whale creates self-contained universes of invented characters, creatures, and forms. Each body of work an extension of a visual language that is immediately and entirely his own.
