Biography
Michél Friess is considered one of the most outstanding German Pop Art artists. His recognition is reflected in numerous awards, including the “International Leonardo Da Vinci Prize” and the “Global Art Award 2020” in Shanghai, where he was awarded 1st place in the Mixed Media / Graffiti category. This success consolidated his position as a leading representative of German contemporary pop art.
Since 2016, when Friess broke through internationally, his works have been represented in over 70 renowned galleries worldwide, alongside icons such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Born in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in the summer of 1970, his career began in Neustadt, where his interest in art, especially street art, was evident from an early age. After an artistic break, he returned to Pop Art with full commitment in 2008.
